Getting Married in Tobago - Legal Requirements
- Both Individuals MUST be present to post Notice.
- Only ONE of the applicants are required to collect notice.
- Valid for of National Identification (I.D./D.P./Passport)
- New Birth Certificate
- Notice will be posted for (7) seven days (Notice can be collected on or after the 8th day)
- $10 TTD to post Notice | $10 TTD to take down Notice
- Documentation received immediately upon completion
- Both Individuals MUST BE resident in the Country (2) two days, not including the day of arrival.
- Both Individuals MUST be present to post Notice.
- Only ONE of the applicants are required to collect notice.
- Passports with Proof of Arrival must be presented.
- $300.00 TTD
- 30–45-minute process
- Documentation received immediately upon completion
- Passport with Proof of Arrival for Non-resident
- Notice to be posted 7 days after date of arrival but NOT including day of arrival (non-resident)
- Both Individuals MUST be present to post Notice.
- Only ONE of the applicants are required to collect notice.

- New Birth Certificate (resident)

Required where necessary for all categories
- Divorce Decree Absolute documents required for divorced individuals.
- Death Certificate required if previous spouse is deceased.
Marriage Notice is valid (6) six months.
